It was great to have our final when faith gets shaken evening together and lovely to have newbies join us even in the last week, we heard a story of a guy who has cerebral palsy and how he faces life with hope, fun and determination despite the set backs he’s experienced. He has changed so many lives with his generosity of time of love and his humility. Such an inspiration and a great way to end this summers meet ups 🙂
Yummy food and great company 🙂
This week at our Holiday club: Champions Challenge we had so much fun learning more about God and exploring what it means to be the best we can be and part of Jesus’ team. We enjoyed celebrating sports alongside the Olympics with games, songs, dramas, stories, creative activities, baking, samba drumming, Circus skills, a Rio vibe and lots of fun getting to know each other.
Thank you to all who came, to our lovely and dedicated team and most of all to God for all that He is and all He has done, that we have so much to celebrate!
Looking forward to our service as we share with the wider church and invite everyone back to see what we’ve been doing and we’ll top that off with a BBQ afterwards!
So do join us, everyone’s welcome, this Sunday 10am-11am, St Paul’s Church, BBQ straight after 🙂
Tonight at When Faith Gets Shaken, we looked at anger, when it’s hard to forgive, when it’s good to be angry and how we can handle anger well and use it to make a positive difference.
We also had lots of chips and made our own homemade stress balls for those stressful and frustrating times of life, remembering God knows, God cares and what we experiences matters to Him.
Last week next week, but join us if you’re around 🙂 Burgers and wedges on offer! 🙂
All welcome 🙂
Today at our prayer breakfast where our youth are all together we did a meditation story that helped us to think about the questions we may have for God, in the meditation the girl makes a box for her questions and writes any answers she feels God gives her on the back of those and put them back in her box. It was the reminder that God speaks, he cares and it’s good for us to ask questions, to listen and be reminded that God does answer us.
We also had a chocolatey worship activity remembering God’s goodness to us and thinking of lots of things to be thankful for 🙂
Tonight at When Faith Get Shaken, we ate lots of Fajitas and nachos and heard inspiring stories of people struggling with difficult circumstances and anxiety. We thought about some of the loudest and most negative voices that can dictate our lives and we shredded some of those that hinder us and then wrote/drew on a stone something that we got from the evening that we wanted to take away that gave us encouragement and truth.
Next week is chip shop night! Join us as we hear more inspiring stories with a chance to share our own opinions and questions and how this can relate to our own lives 🙂
In Tribe this Sunday we did our 6th Freedom in Christ session on “Truth” and “Strongholds.” We built this structure of truth with newspaper rolls each with one of God’s truths about us. When we build our lives on the facts that God loves us, values us, protects us, gives everything for us, adopts us, blesses us, makes us, gives us power and purpose and many others… it not only builds us up to be strong and beautiful, it helps us to build up others and bring Jesus’ love and hope to the world 🙂
